SEEC's Bird Nest Boxes
Last summer, kids at Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) built a number of nest boxes for secondary cavity nest birds in the Red Feather Lakes area. Five of the boxes were installed this spring and they all have bird activity this month. The wonderful photo on the left, which was taken at the Nature Photography for kids' workshop led by Susan Chesnut, shows a pair of tree swallows occupying the nest box made by Colin and Kale. Thank you kids for making a difference to the wildlife in our area.
