SEEC on a Roll - Receives 2016 Larimer County Small Partnership Grant

Thursday, February 25, 2016 - 20:00

Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) is extremely grateful to Larimer County to have been selected as one of the twelve recipients of the Larimer County Small Partnership grant. With the grant award, other donations and volunteer assistance, SEEC will be building a small observatory just west of the Learning Circle. Special thanks to Roger Appeldorn (NCAS) for making this whole project possible, John Figoski and Vern Raben (Longmont Astronomical Society), Amanda Bell and Greg Halac (Northern Colorado Astronomical Society), Red Feather Lakes Elementary School and Red Feather Lakes Community Library for their letters of support. Red Feather Lakes has fantastic dark skies that are perfect for viewing stars, planets, nebulas, galaxies - this little observatory will be a wonderful addition for the community.
